Regenerative design goes beyond sustainability and calls for a systemic approach to restoring and renewing damaged ecosystems as part of the process. It requires we design for net-positive impact by working with nature to create resilient and equitable systems that ensure long term planetary health and community well-being.
While the term is most often used in a built environment context, the concept can be applied to any kind of design.
